FCCJBL Flash - 47 / 135 April 3, 2012 Dear Fans,   Hello Baseball Fans!    You may be wondering, what's with the numbers in the subject line of this FCCJBL Flash email.  I know that I am wondering.  Wondering big time.     47 / 135     When I see 47, I think of a baseball glove flinging Jesse Orosco when the Mets won the World Series in 1986.    135... FCCJBL Flash - Registration for 2012 is now open! January 29, 2012 Dear Fans,   Hello Baseball Fans and welcome to the first FCCJBL email of 2012.  Hoping you had a great holiday season and new year and are ready to start thinking about baseball.   REGISTRATION FOR 2012 IS NOW OPEN    The schedule has been made, the web-site updated and new registration and sponsorship forms are now ready for you to kick-off the 2012 FCCJBL season.  This will be my 8th season running the league and I am really looking forward to another great year.     We will again have a big-time championship day pre-game program, our awards breakfast, annual B-B-Q and a trip to see the Bridgeport Bluefish play and are working on a day to see the Staten Island Yankees as well.     I hope you will be back and join in 2012 for all the fun and great activities.    Register by March 15th and receive a free FCCJBL car magnet.          2012 SNACK BAR FAMILIES NEEDED     Each year the FCCJBL has a volunteer Snack Bar family or families that run our snack bar usually as a Bar/Bat Mitzvah "Mitzvah Project".  The mitzvah is two-fold.  Mitzvah one is selling snacks and beverages at our games to keep our players, coaches, umpires and parents refreshed and hydrated on-hot days.  Mitzvah two is tzedakah (charity) where the profits from the sales are donated to a good cause.    Anyone interested in finding out more, please contact the Commish at seth@fccjbl.org.      2012 SPONSORS Returning sponsors should reserve their spots as soon as possible by contacting the Commish at  seth@fccjbl.org.  Please complete the 2012 sponsorship form and remit at least a $100 deposit.      UMPIRES FOR 2012    Returning umpires and those who want to umpire for the Majors and Minors in 2012 should contact us.  If you would like to umpire for us this season, please drop a note to Umpire Coordinator, Noah Marlowe at livetocatch31@aol.com.                   Sincerely, The Commish   Seth Marlowe Fairfield County CT Jewish Baseball League seth@fccjbl.org www.fccjbl.org FCCJBL HOTLINE  203-977-4641 x248 Quick Links FCCJBL Web Site 2012 Player Registration Form 2012 Sponsorship Form   FCCJBL Email Blog Email the Commish
