Hello Baseball Fans!!!!
We are on Sunday, May 30th with a full slate of games and our 6th annual BBQ catered by SuperSol of Scarsdale. The lineup of food includes hamburgers and hot dogs (vegie burgers and dogs available on request), chicken wings, mini potato knishes, potato salad, macaroni salad, cole slaw, saurkraut, watermellon and blueberries, brownies, blondies and chocoate chip cookies. Beverages too. Come before 1:30 game time to eat before the kids play. BBQ will continue to the 3 pm Majors game but it is suggested to arrive early! We still need volunteers to help with serving, clean-up and we need some extra bridge tables. We will also have Ms Jackleigh Ashberg who will have a table setup near the BBQ selling Discovery Toys. A portion of the proceeds from the sales will be used to purchase Discovery Toys for our Stamford and Greenwich day school pre-k and kindergarten programs (at BCDS and WHFA). FREE Tickets for FCCJBL Annual Night at the Bridgeport Bluefish June 1st Brideport Bluefish | Yes, the tickets are free - part of the price of registration. We still have plenty of good seats available and this is always a really good time. The Bridgeport Bluefish and Lancaster Barnstormers play Tuesday evening, June 1st at Ballpark at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport. Game time is 7:05 pm. We will all meet at our seats.
Tickets are FREE to all players, coaches, umpires and sponsors and their families.
Please email the Commish and let him know how many tickets you want.

League Defibrillator to be Purchased... Defibrillator | Thanks to many of you who have made additional pledges to help us acquire an AED/Defibrillator for the league. We are in discussion with the American Red Cross to place our order and to arrange for training for coaches and others who are interested. More details on the training shortly.
Anyone wishing to further contribute to our fund for the Defibrillator should contact the Commish by email. No donation is too small.

Upcoming Events Tuesday, June 1st - FCCJBL Night at the Bridgeport Bluefish Sunday, June 13th - FCCJBL Championship Sunday and Pre-Game Ceremonies
Former Stamford Mayor and Connecticut Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Dan Malloy will be on hand to throw out the first pitch. Jonathan Cahr of the What's Up Band and the Ma Nishma choir will be on hand to lead us in the singing of Hatikvah and the National Anthem.
Sunday, June 20th - FCCJBL Annual Awards Breakfast Our kids get their trophies, we get to eat breakfast (bagels, lox, cereal, yogurt, fruit and more). We will also hold a Baseball Memorabilia Sale and a short Live Auction courtesy of Mike Riccio Sports LLC / Legends of the Game. Proceeds from the auction and sale will benefit the league. |
