In my last emails of the season and at the awards breakfast, I mentioned a great opportunity for our not only the FCCJBL but the entire Fairfield County Jewish Community. It has materialized and here's the information.
YOUR CHILDREN CAN SING AT CITIFIELD ON JEWISH HERITAGE DAY (AUGUST 29) FOR A SPECIAL N.Y. METS PRE-GAME SHOW!
Children in grades 3-12 will have an opportunity to sing with "The What's Up Band" and "The Ma Nishma" choir on the field before the game! (You may recall that Jonathan Cahr of the What's Up Band and The Ma Nishma choir sang the National Anthem and Hatikvah at this years FCCJBL Championship Games)
Our community has a wonderful opportunity to make their presence known at Jewish Heritage Day at CitiField on Sunday, August 29, 2010, when the New York Mets play host to the Houston Astros (1:10 pm game time).
"The What's Up Band" and UJA/Federation of Greenwich have procured 300 tickets in the Promenade Reserved Infield at the reduced price.
The FCCJBL is selling these tickets at our cost of $27 each. We must sell at least 20 tickets to be eligible for the purchase and we must place our order with the What's Up Band and UJA/Federation of Greenwich by Friday, July 16th.
The FCCJBL needs your commitment by no later than Thursday, July 15th. You can pay by PayPal by sending payment to seth@fccjbl.org with tickets at $27 each or reserve them immediately with me by email and get a check payable to FCCJBL into the mail asap. But, you must reserve in advance and get an email confirmation from me. Checks should be sent to:

If there is enough interest, the What's Up Band and UJA/Federation of Greenwich will hire a bus for an additional fee that will depart from your area.
