Dear Fans,

Hello Baseball Fans!

OPENING DAY IS THIS SUNDAY, MAY 1ST

Hope everyone had a great Passover and gotten their first meal or snack without Matzvah by now.

Opening Day for everyone - all divisions.

Majors will play on the North diamond.

Minors will play on the South diamond.

T-Ball and Intro to T-Ball are in the grass area directly behind the school building.

Schedule and Rosters

Final schedule and rosters should be posted on the website Wednesday night.
Games for the Majors, T-Ball and Intro all start at 1:30 pm.
There will be 2 Minors games with 1:30 and 3:00 pm start time.
Come early to get hats and baseball pants. Hopefully team shirts will be available the following Sunday.

Where we play?

This is for our newbies. We play at the fields behind Newfield Elementary School, 345 Pepper Ridge Rd in Stamford. See our website's schedule page and there's a link to a map.

Umpires

Please send your availability for this Sunday's 1 Major and 2 Minor leagues games (2 at 1:30 and 1 at 3:00 pm) to Umpire Coordinator Noah Marlowe (livetocatch31@aim.com)

Coaches

We will have an equipment bag for each team with all the needed equipment (bats, balls, helmets, catchers equipment and more). Each equipment bag will also have instant ice-packs in the event they are needed.

First Aid / AED-Defibrillator

We will have our FCCJBL AED/Defibrillator and first aid kit available in the event they are needed. Thanks to everyone who participated in last year's Defribrillator capital campaign and our March AED/CPR training class.

And, a few additional announcements...

Once again this year, the FCCJBL will be participating in the Modell's Sporting Goods Team Weeks. Make sure to get a coupon from us on Sunday good for 15% off most merchandise at any Modell's store and a 5% rebate to the FCCJBL. The coupons will be good between 4/29 and 5/26/11.

On Sunday, May 15th, we will have our annual photo day with Sportography. The Sportography photographers will be on hand to take individual and team photos. This is a league fund-raiser and we will have photo order forms available this Sunday and next. A future email will also provide an online link to pre-register and order to do away with the hassle of the paper forms, checks, etc.
