| Dear Fans, Hello Baseball Fans! Last week's opening games looked great and it was a terrific day weather-wise unless like me, you are an allergy sufferer. Let's hope we can have nearly as nice a day this Sunday, May 6th. The league website (www.fccjbl.org) has been further updated today with the latest team roster additions and changes. Also the season schedule has been updated. Three notable schedule changes: 1) We are extending the game schedule to include Sunday, June 17th. This will be for our Championship and final games. Having lost our first Sunday to rain and the additional Sunday loss on May 27th to the Shavuot holiday, we thought it best to move the schedule out and forego the Awards Breakfast. Player trophies, coaches gifts and graduating player awards will be given out at the pre-game ceremonies before the Championships. 2) We are also moving the BBQ to June 10th. 3) Not previously listed on the schedule, but we will have Sportography Photo Day on May 20th. This is a fundraiser for the league. Get your ball player captured on individual photo items - The Commish's favorite are the baseball cards. A portion of the proceeds are rebated back to the league. The schedule page now reflects these changes. NOTE TO COACHES: Please advise if you need any replacement or additional equipment for your equipment bags. In all equipment bags you have been provided with 2012 sportsmanship pins. As in past years please give these out to the player or players who have had a great game and/or demonstrated exemplary sportsmanship. Only the Intro to T-Ball group does not have the pins. If you find you need additional pins, please let the Commish know. Also included in the equipment bags are several disposable single-use ice-packs in the event of player injuries.
