| Dear Fans, I think everyone survived opening day. It's always a little frantic. Newbies to the program, both kids, parents and coaches are a bit antsy. All told, it was a good day. We should be getting a gorgeous day this Sunday. The weatherman is telling us a high of 71 degrees. Time to think about sun screen? NOTES AND REMINDERS:
We will again have team rosters posted on the wall by the registration area/snack bar. Snack bar (Rina and Friends Snack Bar) will be up and running. Snacks, water and other soft drinks. Reasonable prices and a great crew running the place. The latest and up to date team rosters are posted on the league website roster page: (www.fccjbl.org/rosters.htm). A pot-o-potty should now be available for use at the fields. Team shirts and baseball pants are NOT IN yet. We hope for the following Sunday. If your child missed last Sunday, stop by for a league cap and for coaches a cap and coaches' shirt. PLEASE put names on all equipment (baseball gloves) and hats/caps you bring to the field. For parents of children in the minors: We have umpires. Their calls while not always accurate are their calls. They are final unless they decide to overturn it. The umps may from time-to-time consult amongst themselves and involved the coaches as well. GIVE THE UMPS A BREAK. ANY CONTINUED HARRASSMENT OF UMPS WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Let's hope its never needed but everyone should know that it exists. It is kept near the back of the school where the snack bar is located. We also have first aid kits. Check the league website during the season for announcements, Minor team standings and team schedules. Lastly, there are a few 1st graders in T-Ball who may be eligible for promotion to the Minors. If you feel your 1st grader is ready for the Minor league game, please see the Commish.
