Dear Fans,

Hello Baseball and T-Ball fans.

A final set of Notes for our Baseball/T-Ball community.

  1. Thanks again to Michelle Fanwick and all of our volunteers who helped to make our Award Breakfast last Sunday a success.

  2. Thanks to Judith Jelen for the thoughtful gifts for me and my family for my 10 years of service to the FCCJBL.  Thanks also to everyone who contributed to the truly amazing gifts.

  3. If you were not around last Sunday to get your player's trophy, they may be with the Commish or with another parent who may have picked it up for you.

Below is a list of the last names of trophies that the Commish has.  If your name is here, feel free to stop by and pick them up - they are on the front porch at 154 Pepper Ridge Rd - House #5 in Stamford.  If you need alternative arrangements, please email the Commish at sethmarlowe@yahoo.com.

  5. Be on the lookout shortly for a coupon for discounts to all league families at M.G. Miller Fine Watches and Jewelry.  Mike Miller has been a sponsor for a number of years and wants to share his love of watches with you.

  6. Thanks again to Sandy Shapiro, who led us in the singing of the National Anthem and Hatikvah at our closing ceremonies/pre-game ceremonies last Sunday.  Sandy has been our Northwestern Mutual Life sponsor for many years.

  7. Congralations to our players, coaches and sponsors of the 2013 Minor League Champions: Vision Financial Markets.

  8. LASTLY, as I formally announced my retirement from the role as Commissioner of the FCCJBL after 10 years of service, I encourage those parents who wish to keep the traditions and fun of Jewish community youth baseball and t-ball alive in Stamford/Fairfield County, please email me (at sethmarowe@yahoo.com) about joining the new FCCJBLOperating Committee which hopefully will run the league in 2014.

HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!!

Sincerely,

The Retired Commish
