FCCJBL Flash April 16, 2010 Dear FCCJBL, Hello Baseball Fans!!!! Opening Day is here. We've been very busy preparing for the 2010 season.   This coming Sunday, April 18th, starts it all off with a 1-hour practice for all divisions (major, minors, t-ball and intro to t-ball). Please see below about some very important announcements about this season and this Sunday's activities. Registration Still Open  We are keeping Registration open.  If you have not gotten in your registration forms and/or payment, please do so immediately.  We are holding off a few more days before finalizing team rosters.   Team rosters will be announced next week. Click here for registration form...  Opening Day Practice Opening Day is this Sunday, April 18th.    Opening day will be a 1-hour practice on a division by division basis (ie. all major leaguers together, all minor leaguers together, all t-ballers together, all intro to t-ballers together).    The majors will play on the North Field The minors will play on the South Field T-Ball will play directly behind Newfield School on the side towards the South Field Intro will play directly behind Newfield School on the side towards the North Field. SEE THE MAP OF THE NEWFIELD SCHOOL GROUNDS BELOW... We will have our official FCCJBL baseball caps for all the players.  This year's design is Black and Orange.   We will also have our 2010 coaches shirts. Time for our practice will be 1:30 to 2:30. Please arrive early to pick up caps.    There will be 1 equipment bag available for each division.  Coaches please check in with the Commish to pick up your division's equipment bag.  Team equipment bags will be distributed next week. Coaches Needed We'd like to thank the many volunteer coaches for 2010.  We still need a few  more for our teams across all divisions.  Please let the Commish know if you can help out. Emal the Commish at seth@fccjbl.org. There will be a separate mailing to our coaches.  Also, all coaches MUST read and review league rules and the coaches code of conduct. Both are available on our league website: League Rules... Newfield School Fields We play all our games at Newfield Elementary School in Stamford.   The school is located at 345 Pepper Ridge Road.    The fields are located behind the school.   Parking is on the north part of the school. The "North Field" is designated for our Majors division.  The "South Field" is designated for our Minors division. The "Center" area is a huge grass area directly behind the school.  The T-Ball program plays on the south side of the Center field.  The Intro to T-Ball program plays on the north side of the Center field. Umpires We have a great of set of umpires for this years Major and Minor league games.  The staff includes: Nat Samberg, Jason Wohlberg, Lev Podelko, Noah Marlowe, Jackie Liesman and Emillie Pollack.
